Help with LearnSpark.

LearnSpark is the iPad and web app used on the AI for Biopharma Manufacturing course, delivered with NIBRT. This page covers joining a class, fixing the common problems, and managing your account and data.

  • During a course

    Ask your instructor first.

    Your instructor can see every table from their console and sort most problems on the spot, from releasing an exercise to checking your table has joined.

  • Any other time

    Email support.

    Tell us your course dates, your table and what happened. One of the team will reply, usually within one working day.

Joining a class

Four steps at the start of the day.

    Enter the class code

    Open LearnSpark and type the class code your instructor gives you. It starts with LS-. Tap Continue.

  2. 02

    Pick your table

    Choose the table you are sitting at. Each table is one iPad.

  3. 03

    Add your details

    Enter your name, work email and company. If you are sharing the iPad with a partner, tap Add second student and enter theirs too.

  4. 04

    Join the class

    Tap Join class. Exercises unlock as your instructor releases them through the day.

Class codes work from the day before the course starts until two days after it ends. Alumni codes, given out at the end of a course, keep working after that.

Common problems

If something goes wrong.

Check it was typed exactly, including the LS- at the start. Codes only open from the day before the course until two days after it ends, so an early or late attempt is refused. If it still fails, ask your instructor to confirm the code for your course.

Your instructor releases exercises one at a time during the day, so a locked exercise usually has not been opened yet. If your table stays locked after the rest of the room has moved on, ask the instructor to release it again.

The course has finished and its class code has closed. If you were given an alumni code, enter it at gensparksolutions.com/learnspark/code to carry on with the takeaway exercises on any device.

Before you tap Join class, use Pick a different table. Once you have joined, tell your instructor, who can see which table you are on.

Check the iPad is still connected to the venue Wi-Fi, then send your message again. If it keeps happening, tell your instructor, or email support with your table and the time it happened.

Open the Profile tab and tap Download My Certificate.

On the course you work on a shared iPad. After the course, alumni codes open LearnSpark in a web browser on any device, with nothing to install.

On the class code screen, tap Instructor sign-in, then Forgot password? to get a reset link by email.

Your account

Download or delete your data.

Download your data
Open the Profile tab and tap Download My Data.
Delete your account
Open the Profile tab, tap Delete My Account, and confirm twice. Deletion is permanent and removes your conversations, scores, drafts and alumni access.
Shared iPads
If you shared an iPad with a partner, deleting the account deletes that table's workspace for both of you. Download your data first.
Instructor accounts
These hold course records, so they cannot be deleted in the app. Email privacy and we will close the account for you.
If deletion fails
Email privacy and we will complete the deletion for you.
